Drawing and Painting

“Art has been my constant companion since childhood, a medium through which I navigate the complexities of identity, heritage, and human experience. As an Iraqi-Assyrian Canadian, my work is a fusion of diverse influences, reflecting a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. With a focused emphasis on abstract painting, I have invested years in refining my technique and exploring the limitless possibilities of expression. Each canvas is a testament to my commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity, weaving together intricate layers of emotion and meaning.Drawing from my education at OCAD University and my tenure as an alumna of Humber College, I have cultivated a versatile skill set that spans a spectrum of mediums, from the ethereal translucency of watercolor to the bold, textural richness of oil. This mastery allows me to fluidly translate my vision into tangible works of art that resonates with viewers on a profound level.Beyond the strokes of paint lies a deeper purpose: to foster connection and dialogue. Through my art, I endeavor to spark conversations, challenge perceptions, and inspire introspection. Each piece serves as a catalyst for exploration, inviting viewers to delve into the intricacies of the human psyche and the universal themes that unite us all.”
