“My perspective is deeply influenced by my experiences growing up in vastly different cultures and societies. In my attempt to contextualize my identity and weave these experiences together, I’ve come to understand that, regardless of our affiliations, the individual is the ultimate minority that forms the community. ”
Larissa Rai is an interdisciplinary artist with a background in drawing, painting and theatre production. I have a creative focus in documentary film making and screenwriting.I describe my work as thought-provoking, contrasting, and fluid. Grounded by my interest in psychology, sociology, philosophy, my work explores themes of mental health. With my particular interests in characters and dialogue, I hope to use my work to support female voices and share underappreciated stories of women's lived experiences.
