“This project delves into the increasing desire for an idyllic lifestyle amidst the pressures of urbanization, a desire that draws inspiration from the uniquely passive survival strategy of the jellyfish. By contrasting the jellyfish's relaxed movements with the pressures of modern societal rhythms, it advocates for a slower, more profound way of life. I have used innovative materials and techniques to craft a jewellery set and vanity lamp representing the relaxed ethos of 'jellyfish life.' These wearable pieces are reminders to slow down and savour the present moment: jewellery to wear when out in the street and a soothing vanity lamp that evokes the comforts of home, and doubles as a jewellery storage system. Simulating user scenarios and emphasizing visual artistry, this project conveys a tranquil atmosphere and encourages reconnection with the easy rhythm of the floating jellyfish. Designed to address the psychological burdens of contemporary life, it offers a pathway to balance amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. ”
