Experimental Animation
“In this experimental animation, I use a first-person perspective to explore the life of a cat, slowing down the pace and allowing the viewer to observe life through the eyes of the cat. The visual style is reminiscent of a rough pencil sketch, capturing the playful and spontaneous nature of the cat. The sound scenes include the cat's movements and vocalisations to create a more immersive experience. I also use abstraction to convey the difference between cat and human perspectives, encouraging the viewer to think more deeply about the way we perceive the world. The animation is rooted in the tradition of experimental and avant-garde art, but draws inspiration from everyday life as a pet owner and animal lover. It will have a hand-drawn, minimalist aesthetic, with a focus on simple lines and shapes. I hope it will provide a unique and compelling perspective on the lives of beloved pets.”
