“ “Eulogy of the Dog” commemorates several of modern history's renowned dogs, whose companionship, sacrifice, and services were instrumental to humanity’s development, discovery, and survival. The series' title borrows George G. Vest’s infamous Senate speech in 1870, where he defends the honour of a murdered foxhound named "Old Drum", solemnly lamenting a dog's unbridled love and loyalty to man despite their cruelty and ignorance.”

Dhani is a multimedia artist based in Toronto, who incorporates her rendered, vivid acrylic paintings with various experimental mediums such as wood, textiles, motion and collage. Although her design and illustrative works hint her lay-person interest in history, nature, and zoology, her other, more personal, works ruminate on nostalgia, duality, and cultural identity that allude to her Filipino diasporic experience.
