aka. WUWU, Afro-Caribbean Diaspora and Fine Arts Curating/Artistry
“The overt use of expression is a cornerstone of my current work. Thus allowing a varying audience to conjure emotions that the I am representing. Keen to disrupt today's standards, I aim to decentralise and deinstitutionalize the way the audience receives my art. Using the human senses of sight and scent, I am reclaiming art to be reflective of the human experience and the perspectives of the Caribbean diaspora through emotions portrayed within my work. Reflective of the spolia in which I live in and am, I as an upcoming Toronto artist, utilise mixed media techniques, sight and scent to create artwork with an emphasis on women of colour and their complex socio-cultural roles in society. ”

Black excellence and inclusive thought play as the undertones to WUWU's world. A place where multidisciplinary art and curatorial visions represent the the balance of the surreal and natural forms with bright pallets and scents that entice emotion.
