Brianna Dyer is a Toronto-based visual artist working with both dry and wet mediums. Her practice revolves around the concept of thought, memory and the Everyday. From a young age, Brianna has always been overly observant. She noticed small changes in store-front displays, remembered irrelevant details from her walks home from work, and shared each and every moment from her day with friends and family, welcomed or not.Much of her practice depicts everyday activities, romanticizing the little things and creating memories out of overlooked moments. She aims to highlight the beauty of a routine life, showing the viewer the intricacies and details of seemingly mundane tasks and objects. Recently, she has been looking into the effects of childhood on adult development through both dry and wet mediums.Brianna is a graduate from the Fine Arts Studio program at Centennial College and holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Drawing & Painting from OCADu. Recent exhibitions and project features include: art for the upcoming short film, "Fire Escape" and "A Breathing Room for the Spirit" at OCAD University. Her work can currently be seen at GradEx 109 at OCADu.
