“Have you thought about what public space really is, means and embodies; or the benefits and harms stitched into it? Promises of the public realm often differ from the social and spatial realities of these places. Step into my work to begin envisioning how using design as a tool might advance social and spatial justice.”
Hi, I’m Janai!I enjoy shaping thoughtful spaces that work to better the experiences of those who encounter them. My work explores the notions of people, place, ecology, and the opportunities amongst them to collectively thrive. As such, matters of sustainability, community and collaboration are central to my work. I have great ambition and look towards a rewarding future in change-making design. Away from work, you will find me making lists galore, taking trips to the greenhouse and embracing new hobbies like ceramics.
