Costume Design

“A series of narrative costumes, the Medal winning thesis "Arachne" is an investigation of identity and the exhibition of artifice, imagining a Greek myth into surreal forms. Informed by a combination of historical tailoring and experimental techniques, the story is broken down into three figures; the mortal Chorus, the God Athena and the monstrous Spider. The work includes needle felting, corsetry, hand stitching, puppetry and wire. ”
