Sculpture and Installation
“I am personally grateful for Joshua Avery (Permanent Metal Technician), Gerald Grison (Permanent Integrated Media Technician), and Tredegar Kennedy (Faculty of Design Instructor), among others, for their guidance and support throughout my time at the university.”

Jason is an interdisciplinary artist based in Toronto, working at the intersection of sculpture, modular systems, motion, and emergent technology. Rooted in a deep engagement with metal fabrication and mechanical systems, his practice approaches making as a process of becoming – an unfolding language shaped by repetition, adjustment, and chance. Through the synthesis of randomized motion, programmable logics, and subtle sonic resonance, Jason constructs environments that resist fixity, inviting perception to move, drift, and recalibrate. Informed by distributed intelligence, aural architecture, and philosophies of relational space, his work frames structures not as objects, but as fields of proximity, memory, and adaptation. Influenced by thinkers such as James Bridle, Gaston Bachelard, and John Cage, Jason seeks to cultivate spaces where presence deepens and the boundaries between machine, material, and viewer blur into rhythmic, living systems.
