“My work primarily combines photographic imagery with brightly coloured abstraction. I’m a silkscreen artist at heart, first starting in my parents’ garage in 2018, and I’ve been chasing that process ever since. After about a year at OCAD, I began taking design seriously through the Advertising program, where my interest in brands and the relationships they build became a real focus.I’ve carried that interest into my own work, from running a clothing brand in Vancouver from 2019 to 2022 to now operating a freelance silkscreen business. My art and design practices are different, and I like that. They inevitably bleed into one another because they come from the same place, but I enjoy the contrast between them. However, nothing will ever pull me too far from my first love: the screen.”
