“My latest short film, January 2211, is a sci-fi 3D animation exploring Egypt, my home country under totalitarian A.I rule 200 years after the January 2011 revolution. My aim for this work was to be politically engaging, mixing futuristic imagery and Ancient Egyptian culture and history, highlighting the dangers of an AI-driven governance.”
