Multidisciplinary
“My work is primarily engaged with communicative acts, centering on what binds us rather than what divides. This is reflected in my material choices. Contemplating the life-giving nature of the materials I use provides an anchor to the fact that we are a part of something greater.”
Angela McIntosh has a major in Sculpture and Installation and a minor in Material Art and Design (Fibre). Her thesis work focused on the translation and transmutation of digital modes of communication into analogue forms, using traditional practices of felt-making and bronze-casting. Originally from regional Australia, Angela has lived in Toronto since 2010.
