John Louie Calara is a Philippines born, Ontario raised independent visual artist.A recent Ocad University student graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. John Calara is a practicing artist with Aphantasia, where one cannot see any mental images. A combination of the want to create with an image-less method. Their work revolves around the themes of maturing, growth, memory and comforting emptiness.John Louie Calara enjoys the simple graphite pencil and paper to create works. Trying to achieve visuals that are in line with their sensory experience to outstretch to the ones looking.
