Janelle Clouston is a digital painter, animator, 3D modeler, and installation artist from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her work is heavily inspired by the art of fantasy films and games, especially their concept art, resulting in a signature style that is highly colorful and expressive. Reflected in her choice of subject matter is her identity as a queer woman, as sapphic couples are a common motif in her work. She is also interested in replicating analog techniques in a digital medium, lending a painterly quality to her still works and an organic roughness to her animations.
