I am a student majoring in Environmental Design - Interior Design Specialization at OCAD University. And I have been passionate about sustainable design since I entered OCAD University. In the rapidly developing modern society, people need not only to look forward but also to look back at the buildings and relics temporarily forgotten in the course of history. These precious relics are not only the embodiment of a culture but also a symbol of a period of history. Adaptive reuse enables the transformation of existing, outdated buildings and sites into new mixed-use developments while preserving these heritage sites, as well as reconciling the relationship between buildings and the environment and maintaining ecological balance.
