Justin works in multi-media, interested in subtlety, contrast and the transcendence of story-telling. From drawing to film and video, much of his work explores the connectivity of nature and the body, at times to question the condition of masculinity/femininity in visual and social culture. Justin produces his films alongside creative partner and artist, Brigitte Sampogna. Often inhabiting realms of the absurd, they ponder eccentricities in human behaviour, banality, and domesticity. Justin and Brigitte continue to examine an intersection of the natural environment and suburban/rural spaces, using ‘the home’ and its contents as references to psychological processes and shifts in time. Together they focus on writing stories that beg more questions than they intend to answer.
