Uzoma is a multidisciplinary creative researcher whose work explores themes of nomadic indigeneity, cultural identity in the diaspora, and the idea of community. Through a socio-cultural lens, she investigates the relationships between people, place, and identity—using documentary practices, archival art, visual journalism, and content design. Her work often blends videography and photography to tell stories that are both personal and collective. In addition to her studio practice, Uzoma is committed to community engagement, particularly through youth programs that support the arts and cultural preservation. Her research is rooted in social change, which she brings into her work through creative leadership and collaborative projects. Her work has been exhibited both in Canada and internationally, featured in festivals, galleries, embassies, biennials, and public spaces. Uzoma holds a Bachelor of Design (BDes) in Graphic Design from OCAD University and will be pursuing a Master of Arts in Art History at York University.
