“Xinwei Zhang has conducted a series of experimental animation projects. In addition to utilizing 2D techniques, Xinwei also created a short film about self using virtual reality. This film was synthesized using homemade puppets in Adobe Aero. The 2D animations include a humorous short film about "searching" and a short film about world pollution. Additionally, Xinwei's portfolio includes a series of daily illustrations and past tabletop game designs.”
Xinwei Zhang, graduated from OCAD University with a major in Expanded Animation. Devoted to the study of 2D animation, Xinwei joined this field to explore the limits of 2D animation and the exaggeration of daily movements. Studying animation has been a three-year journey throughout university, and Xinwei continues to explore what animation can bring to the world.
