“Frays is my BFA thesis project, reflecting and redefining myself and my cultural background from a third-person perspective. The inspiration for this book came from a passage I read in a book one day: "Only those with memories have roots."”

With a major in Photography and a minor in Printmaking, Enzo also explored woodworking and sculpture during their academic journey.Specializing in film photography and traditional darkroom techniques, Enzo Chen captures the essence of the human experience through medium and large-format photography. Their expertise extends to various printmaking techniques, including screenprinting, relief, intaglio, risograph, and lithography.Guided by a thematic exploration of the "third perspective," Enzo delves into themes of self-identity, cultural heritage, and personal narratives in their artistic endeavours. Through a seamless blend of traditional and contemporary methods, Enzo invites viewers to engage in introspection and reflection through their work.
