“Engaging with the pulse of the process, with the "now ", I am attempting to establish a balance in my world, to clear a path that transcends the noise. I am sustained by an enduring faith that I will find something in nothing. Through a filter of memory, place, emotion and existential angst, I am alert to what has come before, what is present, and what could be. My hope is for discovery, for a ceremony of invention that launches an intuitive discourse and propels my creative being towards each new moment, each new mark, each new me.”
Nuno Paulino was born in Portugal. He came to Canada when he was 6. He grew up and still lives in downtown Toronto. In his 20’s, he went to the Ryerson film school. It was a Polytechnical then. There he learned how to develop black and white prints, edit 16mm film on a Moviola, and collaborate with creative minds. He spent the next 25 years as an editor in commercial post production, running a large post facility and editing spots for a multinational advertising agency. This all led him to where he is now.
