“Painters can show people the world as they see it; calligraphers can show the world their state of mind; modern artists can show people their view of the world; and what graphic designers need to do is how to make people better understand these things that people cannot understand.”
Minghao Li, a graphic designer from China. He specializes in book and editorial design because a good layout could really change people's interpretation of a book. And most of important information comes from books and in his opinion, nothing can be more formal and important than the printed works. His obligation as a graphic designer is to deliver the message that people want to convey more concisely, more quickly and more efficiently to the audience. Most of his works are prints; books, if any. A beautiful appearance will make people want to pick up the work; but without that appearance, even if the content is compelling, it may not be picked up. He is always perfecting his work, trying to make all of his work as consistent as possible, so that each piece is something that people want to pick up and enjoy, and is worthy of appreciation. He is also passionate about typeface design, and although he has only designed one typeface so far, he is exited about future ones and they are going to be the best.
