Stephanie Phei Zhang (she/her) is a Toronto-based artist working as an illustrator, animator, teacher, and 3D asset sculptor. She studied Integrated Media, specializing in digital painting and animation at OCAD University. During her studies at OCADu, she was involved in working in collaboration with the Royal Art Museum and French artist Maxime Touroute on an interactive projection piece displayed at the ROM. Her stop motion animation Don’t Cry was screened at ALTFF Alternative festival and Minute Madness Toronto, and 300 Second short film festival. Her graduation thesis project is an exploration of the use of 3D sculpting and animation and its place as a medium for artists and advertisers.
