Talia Veneruz is an artist, writer, and curator based out of Toronto (Tkaronto), Ontario. She has just graduated with distinction from OCAD University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Criticism and Curatorial Practice and a minor in Integrated Media (2025). Talia is the 2024 recipient of the Ada Slaight Scholarship for academic excellence in her field, and takes pride in her position as C Magazine’s spring 2025 editorial intern for issue C#160: Extra Life. Her published works can be seen in C Magazine, Petal Projections, Milk Bag, and the OCAD U Journal of Visual and Critical Studies. Talia has also curated and exhibited both individually and collaboratively across campus, including at Toronto’s Ada Slaight Gallery. While her practice remains interdisciplinary, her focus has pivoted towards a passion for critical writing and curatorial work. Through both vehicles, Talia navigates themes of feminist bodily autonomy, the embodiment of trauma, and the intersections of movement, sexuality and grief.
