“Art can be heartfelt, expressive, passionate, and conceptual. My work is not just painting or illustration but a whole vision that brings forth endless creativity. In my work, I use the visual element to communicate an honesty about the world we live in. I believe that being creative is a human birthright and it's up to each individual to express themselves in the creative way that feels most authentic.✍🏼 AJ Adato”

Filipino-Canadian artist AJ Adato (She/Her) is a 21-year-old creative from Toronto. She's an artist who specializes in various paint and drawing mediums. Often getting lost in her own work, AJ's style is visual and narrative, revolving around her own self-expressions. Even early on in her childhood, being creative was "a state of being" for the young Filipina. And like so many other young dreamers, after graduating from university, she hope she'd be able to communicate her vision of the world via her artistic ability.
