Hailey maintains a lifelong passion for learning, and interest in both academic and personal writing. Hailey’s research interests lie in food studies, cultural criticism, contemporary fine art, and Jewish studies. Hailey’s writing and research embodies “everything” and “nothing” methodologies, calling to allow research to inform and guide writing practices followed by critical analysis. Hailey Kobrin’s writing has appeared in the Journal of Visual and Critical Studies, on the Roundtable Residency Blog, and Identity Thief. In 2020, Hailey curated Butterfly, and When I Touch You, which were exhibited at the Ada Slaight Gallery at OCAD University. Recently, Hailey moderated the Curatorial Curiosities panel, that sought to engage Toronto based artist-curators in conversation with contemporary curatorial practices that operate independently of institutional spaces.Hailey is a forthcoming Masters Candidate at York University in Art History.
