She's known to infuse humour into her stories with a strong emotional core, often discussing topics such as mental health, interpersonal and intrapersonal relationships, and more. She is versatile, a quick-learner, and considers herself a jack of all trades.”
Sonika Bagwe is an Indo-Canadian 2D animator and character designer based in Mississauga. She studied at OCAD University under the Integrated Media; Expanded Animation and Digital Painting program with a special focus on narrative animation. Her work focuses on incorporating humour into various subject matters, either through wordplay or through her designs. A jack of all trades, she has experience in script-writing, storyboarding, character design, background designs, illustration, and 2D animation. Alongside her studies, Sonika is also a volunteer with the Toronto Animation Arts Festival International, all the while working diligently in improving her skills as a story-teller.
