Sina Labbaf is a 3D and experimental animator and storyteller who holds a diploma in 3D Animation and VFX from Vancouver Film School and is currently finishing a BFA in Experimental Animation at OCAD University. His work spans across character animation, direction, and experimental storytelling, rooted in the deep love for the craft and his culture. At VFS, he wrote, animated, and directed Zal, an animated short drawing on Persian folklore and the stories his grandfather used to tell him. He is also actively involved in the professional animation industry community by being part of the leadership team at SparkCG in Vancouver as an associate producer and volunteers coordinator for their events.He has led teams of multiple artists through full productions for student films, taught animation at VFS as a teaching assistant, and has also built creative communities at every school he has attended and has been an active part of the student and professional community.
