Nomi Juhasz is a textile artist and ceramicist from Toronto. They specialize in machine knitting, pattern drafting/draping, stitching and surface design. Nomi has been working with clay since they were a child. They find this medium to be very expresive. Nomi likes to hand build, slab build and throw on the wheel. They make functional things like mugs and pots, as well as more sculptural forms like the ceramic figures in their thesis work. They recently graduated from OCAD U’s Textile program, and were awarded the Tucker’s Ceramic Award for their thesis work.
