“I Make Fun Jewellery...Toywellery!!!“Sino-Narrative Toywellery” is a series of three hybrid toy-jewellery projects, each inspired by a Chinese folktale in celebration of my heritage. Each toywellery project consists of jewellery pieces that can be assembled to create, or function as a traditional Chinese toy.As digital technologies progress and are popularised and preferred in the modern world, I hope these three projects will spark interest in traditional cultures for younger crowds whilst evoking a sense of nostalgia for mature audiences.”

I am a Thai Taiwanese born and raised in Phuket Thailand. As the field of hand-craft jewellery is non-existent in Phuket, Thailand, I consider my enrollment at Ontario College of Art and Design’s Jewellery Program a serendipitous event where I discovered my passion. Now an aspiring jeweller, my current practice focuses on fabricating one-of-a-kind narrative art jewellery pieces; working mainly in depletion gilded sterling silver. I draw inspiration from the natural world of flora, fauna, and foliage which are depicted in miniature. With an intent for audiences to experience joy upon seeing my works, playful messages, dippy depictions, and additional fun interaction or kinetic elements are recurrent features.
