Julia Pedden is an artist and illustrator based out of Toronto and London, Ontario. Her practice is a mesh of fine art ideologies with an illustrative style. She is a lover of maximalism and extreme colour choices and hopes to spark that same joy through her work. Her art is a synthesis of all things she finds beautiful and uncomfortable, taking inspiration from psychedelic, low-brow, and contemporary illustration. She aims to encapsulate the spectrum of human emotion and convey serious tones through lighthearted illustrations. Julia is fascinated by the inner workings of the human mind and learning how we can change and grow as people. Julia enjoys the repetitive processes of art, learning new mediums, and is constantly evolving her style and practice.
