Gabriela Antonini Escovedo is a Brazilian animator and visual artist, currently completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts, in the Integrated Media Digital Painting and Expanded Animation program at OCAD University with a minor in art history. Her animation practice explores the relationship between digital and traditional mediums to create visible narratives. Her projects explore themes such as identity, performances and body language. Whether she is creating concepts of characters, animating forms and movements, or developing abstract imagery Gabriela is interested in the ways her work is able to take on diverse shapes and forms. Recently, Gabriela’s work was screened and exhibited at the Ignite Gallery, OCADU Great Hall Gallery, and the OCADU Florence Campus in collaboration with faculty of art students.
