Mehriniso is an emerging artist and designer with a focus on jewellery fabrication. Her featured collection aims to investigate the relationship between tools, makers, and craft through the design and fabrication of ornamented jeweller’s tools alongside a corresponding body of jewellery inspired by her Uzbek heritage. Rather than treating tools as neutral objects, it positions them as active influences in the creative process. Can the aesthetic design of a tool influence the maker and, consequently, the work they produce? How does this impact the individual?
