Ellejae is a Scarborough based Filipino artist, editor, director, animator and sculptor. Taking from her experience as an Asian woman, an immigrant, and navigating through life with ADHD, her work revolves around themes on intersectional identity, self image, neurodivergence and its relation to mental health. With her intense drive to learn and broad interest in mediums, Ellejae offers a diverse collection of work. She combines her skills in digital media, such as 3D modeling and illustration, in conjunction with physical techniques like 3D printing, plastic fabrication and woodworking. Her main interest and specialization is in video and film production, namely post-production processes such as animation, colour grading and visual effects. Ellejae often collaborates with Dani Meuret, making use of their individual strengths and the dynamic formed through their 11-year friendship. Together they pursue a similar desire to occupy a space in an industry that excluded the narratives of marginalized women like them.
