Hailey Rose Ferguson is a writer and interdisciplinary artist raised as a settler near Nipissing First Nations, currently working as a guest on the ancestral and traditional territories of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabe, Huron-Wendat, and the Mississaugas of the New Credit First Nations on Dish With One Spoon territory in Tkaronto/Toronto. She began her practice and found her footing in northern Ontario, and since has worked in Toronto exploring themes of memory, preservation, sustainability, and family. She has seen her work in a handful of northern Ontarian galleries such as North Bay’s Line Gallery, and Haileybury’s Temiskaming Art Gallery. Recently, Hailey’s practice has driven her to explore material culture and genealogy through portrait and still life painting.
