“As a Product Experience Designer, I focus on health-driven design and building products that are accessible by default, not afterthought. The problems I'm drawn to involve removing barriers for users in high-stress or vulnerable situations, where empathy alone isn't enough and technical rigour has to back it up. My work bridges tactile industrial fabrication with intuitive digital interfaces, always grounded in research and held to the highest accessibility standards. I look for the complex, the overlooked, and the human, and I distill them into products that are considered and built to genuinely serve the people who need them most.”

Hi, I'm Nimeesha, a Product Experience Designer graduating from OCAD University's Industrial Design program with a minor in Science. My practice is rooted in the health, wellness, and MedTech industries, driven by a belief that the best-designed products not only solve problems but also shape how people move through the world. I work at the intersection of the physical and digital — moving fluidly between tangible fabrication, woodworking, metalworking, and rapid 3D prototyping, and sleek, modern digital interfaces.Guided by a deep commitment to sustainability and accessibility, I design products that are inclusive, empathetic, and built for real human experiences. Whether I'm synthesizing research into design decisions, leveraging AI workflows, or iterating on physical prototypes, I always bring curiosity and rigour to every stage of the process. My thesis project, SOMA, a sensory panic intervention wearable, represents the clearest expression of what I believe design can do: meet people in their hardest moments, effortlessly.
