Yana is a Toronto-based creative technologist and visualization artist. After more than a decade in traditional fine arts, painting, drawing, and photography, her curiosity drew her toward new media technologies. She completed the Digital Futures program at OCAD University, where she developed a practice across Max/MSP, TouchDesigner, Unreal Engine, physical computing, and digital fabrication. Her current work focuses on real-time tools, generative systems, and audiovisual performance. At home, she designs and 3D prints custom artist tools to streamline her workflow. As a strong advocate for collapsing the divide between art and science, she engages with interdisciplinary artist communities locally and online to democratize access to open-source resources and technology.
