Meet the Artist
Susan
Wood
“I am a maker. Through the process of creating, materials and methods reveal their meaning. Using mediums interchangeably and in combination opens up possibilities that very often surprise me and like a magpie, I collect all manner of materials. Traditional mediums, foraged natural materials and salvaged items all ignite my imagination. The processes of observation, experimentation and reflection guide my work and lead me to understand what my artwork needs to say. At the heart of my art practice is my belief that art has an immense capacity to communicate important truths.”
