As an interdisciplinary neurodivergent queer artist, I work in a variety of materials and mediums as no solitary medium can hold my interest for very long. Coming from an economically disadvantaged background, I make art out of whatever is readily available, and this resourcefulness has led me to create a large body of work that touches upon themes of personal identity, queerness, transformation, mental health, religion, sentience, environmentalism, natural cycles, growth, decay, ephemerality, and anti-capitalism. My art comes from a desire to interact with the world with scientific curiosity through a compassionate lens. It is a dream of mine to spend my life researching various natural systems in my never-ending quest to become a polymath, in the likes of Galileo Galilei, Charles Darwin, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, and Leonardo da Vinci, I like giving attention to things that won’t last, documenting seemingly simple subjects' beauty to reveal the new worlds that spring forth upon closer inspection, and sharing these worlds with others. I hope that through my art, I can influence many to take the time to slow down and notice the small, overlooked, underappreciated beauty of everyday life.
