“Through the use of visual puns and juxtaposition, "Camouflaged" visually delves into the complexities and challenges of modern life and infuses them with animal traits. From the lens of animals to humans, our instincts, behaviors and actions are no different.”

I'm Jessica, but feel free to call me Jess! I'm a Filipina-Canadian Illustrator and Printmaker here in Toronto. My practice revolves around the love I have for children's books and illustrated stories. I love to create in a way that connects to the classic look and feel of children's book storytelling. In my printmaking, I try not to confine myself to one style or concept. The history and culture of printmaking definitely influences my thematic choices! When I'm not drawing or in the studio, you can find me vending at local artist markets in Toronto under the name "puhfuu"!
