“Blue’s Tears is a two-dimensional animation based on highly sensitive people (HSP) in an insensitive environment. The main character, Blue, is a highly sensitive person and an introvert attending an art university. This project aims to highlight how Blue overcomes her fears of feeling the need to fit in rather than stand out in class and what ways her emotions can be impacted through her university experience as an HSP. ”
Angelica Da Silva is a Guyanese-Canadian student studying at OCAD University, based in Toronto, Canada. She mainly specializes in animation and painting; both in various mediums. Angelica started painting in High School and later developed skills in animation as a means to send deeper messages through her artwork. Her artistic style changes depending on the context of the content that she produces so that a better message can be portrayed.
