“My illustration thesis titled "Accidents Waiting to be Discovered" depicts the historical events of inventions that were discovered by mistake, and how they differed from the intended product. Through this body of work I explored how something useful can come from an initially dissatisfying situation and lead to the discovery of an accidental by-product.”

My name is Ashlyn and I am an illustrator based out of Toronto, Ontario. In 2020 I received a Bachelor's of Design in Illustration with Distinction from OCAD University. My work consists mostly of drawing, painting, and printmaking. Recently I've been experimenting with new avenues for my artwork, I've been exploring new supports for my illustrations such as wood, ceramics, and rock. In my free time I love to paint, walk my dogs, and play the banjo.
