“In her work, Luiza Marinescu explores philosophical ideas and how they manifest in nature, as well as themes of grief, regeneration, reincarnation, and visions. Her large installation pieces, sometimes painted on the ground, are interactive and immerses the viewer into a new realm of colour and pattern. The vibrancy and spontaneity in her style allows the audience to feel at peace and engaged with the utopian aura of her pieces.”
Luiza Marinescu, born in Romania, 2003, is a multi-media artist based in Toronto. She is currently studying Drawing and Painting at OCAD University and is expected to earn her BFA in 2025. She also holds a Regional Arts Program certificate at Cawthra Park Secondary School in Visual Arts. Marinescu has displayed work in local art galleries in Mississauga and has volunteered as an art educator and instructor. She now creates large installation works which transcends walls and the ground.
