“Everyday is a collection of abstract works that responds to my daily life as an artist and individual through the method of collage. Everyday is a work that explores my personal feelings about the works that I make, the thought process, ideas, opinions and the decisions made during the making of these works. Most importantly, Everyday is also a way for me to appreciate God for everyday that I get to come into the studio to make work. I draw inspiration from my daily life, which gets me thinking about the everyday of life with its new and constant changes, and how every day keeps on happening. I also find that each day of my life becomes a new inspiration for the works that I make. Moreover, As a Christian, going through life has taught me to appreciate God for every second of my life and everything that is in it, because each day, God has brought me to where I am today, and each day, God takes me closer to the future.”

Victory Rowlex Ogbonna (b. 2002) is a Toronto based Mixed Media artist whose works are a mix of abstraction with collage. Victory uses a mix of different objects such as; acrylic paints, acrylic markers, magazine cut outs and found objects, in her collage works with the intent to show the changes and the decisions made in her everyday life. Drawing from life experiences, Victory intends to communicate the unconscious connection between making and living and the intersection between the everyday and what it means to be a practicing visual artist. Within her works, she explores the endurance, fatigue and creativity of the artist. Victory also explores themes such as; change, space, time, religious identity and mind, in her works.
