Lynéa Ames (lynealavender) is a queer Canadian artist, born in North York and living in southern Ontario. They are sapphic, non-binary and use they/them pronouns. Having experienced trauma and mental illness throughout their life, they often work with themes of trauma, healing, memory, identity and self depiction in their artistic work. They are working towards a career in art therapy to share art as a healing practice with others. Having just completed their BFA at OCAD university in drawing and painting, they are embarking on the next chapter of their life and artistic career.
