Hello, my name is Jiahua Liu (Joy), as a member of OCAD University's Interior Design Class of 2025, I plan to continue to explore the field of interior design/architecture in my future academic career.My design philosophy centers around the idea of “refining, not replacing.” I believe space, as a physical and objective presence, holds its own inherent value—and rather than imposing new functions onto the land, I aim to reveal and elevate what is already there through my own design language.To me, architectural expression is a form of communication. Whether bold, restrained, or quietly gentle, design has the power to create narrative experiences and shape a sense of belonging for those who inhabit the space.
