“I depict my body because it is all I know, because I am confined within it, and because it is the lens through which I perceive and navigate the world. Yet, beyond this physical form lies a mind, a heart, and a soul— but again, who cares about these deeper facets when the body itself is the focal point of consumption? In my series "The Banquet: A Feast for All", I use the metaphor of a three-course banquet, including the Appetizer, the Main Dish and the Dessert, to explore the complex dynamics of societal expectations, cultural perceptions, and the human experience. Through the depiction of my own body, I question the viewers' preconceived notions surrounding the body and identity, highlighting the clash between tradition and novelty, familiarity and exoticism, and confronting the limitations of biases.”
