Seungju Kim was born in South Korea and is an experimental animator working and living in Toronto, ON. Seungju is interested in exploring digital media and creating virtual spaces. Her project Elevator to Nostalgia is about temporal transportation breaking time limitations, which can create a surreal world that does not exist in the real world to represent her idea about a historical and cultural events context in her artistic styles. Also, most of her work explores how each different generation communicates with each other and how they affect their descendants.Seungju is working towards graduating with a degree in Experimental Animation s at OCAD University and developing her knowledge of her interests in creating a virtual world using 3D modelling, digital compositing and digital media art.
