Drawing and Painting

“Memories bring us joy, but at the same time a sense of loss shaped by their inaccessibility. Reflecting on the connections I have gained or lost, I seek to understand how they shape me as an individual through narrative oil paintings. Dualities such as presence and absence, love and loss, and connection and disconnection, are fundamental in my work, emphasizing the emotions these relationships evoke. I compose both fragmented photographs and inaccessible places to depict the bittersweet tension associated with recollection of memory. My work’s ambiguity invites viewers to reflect on the feelings they experience, encouraging them to interpret their own personal relationships and narratives.”
