Meet the Artist
Grace
Pedersen
Painter and Crafter
“I love to explore themes of the everyday and capture small moments in time. ”

Grace Pedersen is an artist and crafter from Toronto, ON. Both of her parents are creative people, and her mom is also a painter. Grace grew up surrounded by crafting supplies and though she tried several extra curriculars, the only thing that interested her was pottery class. She was never great, but it helped her discover how much she loved working with her hands (fast forward a couple years, she worked in bread bakeries shaping dough every day!). She didn't use paint much until high school. It was a slow and slightly frustrating process, but finally in college when she was taught to work with oils, something clicked. Her time at OCAD offered many opportunities, and she took a variety of electives to learn new skills and mediums. Grace has now discovered crochet and is newly obsessed with yarn.
